About Our Show:
Deaf to the warnings of her nurse and chorus, grief-stricken Medea seeks solace in destroying Jason, her unfaithful husband. She ruthlessly severs her husband's lineage only to find herself "alone and forsaken" alongside the man she condemned to desolate solitude. A condensed adaptation of the classic tragedy that effectively explores Medea's disjointed psyche within the context of ancient Greek values.

New Spark Policies:
Please note that when listing conflicts, the answers of "none at the moment" or "none at this time" are not acceptable. If you plan on signing up for any sport or auditioning for any show whose schedule you are unclear of, please do not audition.
- All cast must be off-book by the first rehearsal. Off book at NSPA means knowing all lines. If any cast member fails to arrive off-book, it may lead to removal from the show or recasting of roles.
- Cast is allowed 2 scheduled conflicts during rehearsal. There are absolutely no conflicts allowed during tech or for our first rehearsal. Conflicts must be submitted either on the audition form or via email before rehearsals begin. Our rehearsal schedule will be binding. Missing rehearsals that aren't pre-established conflicts (or emergencies) may result in removal or recasting.

Audition FAQs:
What time should I get there? Will I have to stay the whole time? You should arrive 5-10 minutes early. Auditionees will be asked to check in, and then wait outside or in the lobby until the audition starts. You will need to stay for the entire audition slot you sign up for.
Should I audition online or in-person? Online auditions (when offered) are only recommended for either college students who will not be in town for auditions, or those who have serious conflicts on our audition date(s). Though all auditions will be considered, if you are available to audition in-person, is it preferred by the casting director to come audition in-person. There will be no online auditions for Medea.
What should I bring? Should I prepare anything? We are asking that all audtionees prepare a 1-2 minute dramatic monolouge. It is also good to research the show or read the script so that you know the plot and descriptions of the characters you're auditioning for. You should wear comfortable clothing, closed-toed shoes, and bring water. Please do not bring headshots or resumes.
Will there be callbacks? How will I know if I got in or not? We typically do not have callbacks unless they are 100% necessary. Everyone will receive an email whether they got in or not, letting them know. The email will come within one week of the audition. If callbacks are required, we will email all those called back! Not receiving a callback does not mean that you are not being cast, it just means that a decision was already made for you.
