Our 'Spark Of Creation' Class Series enrollments are now open!

COVID-19 Updates!
  • The remainder of classes are free of charge!
  • Classes will take place on Zoom each Saturday at 12pm.​
  • The Meeting ID for our Zoom calls is 264-550-836. Meeting passwords will be emailed to parents every Saturday morning.
  • The 3 cancelled classes (Monologue Workshop, Jazz, and Stage Makeup) will be made up on May 2nd, 9th, and 16th.
  • Student age range is 2nd-8th grade.
  • Sign-ups for each class close at 10am the day of the class.

Improvisation

In this class you will participate in fun activities, learn improvisation principles, and meet new people! Improvisation is for anyone, don't feel shy to come!
Dance- Musical Theater
Feb. 8
Aaliyah Green
Musical Theater 1 is for anyone who likes to move. In this class, students will learn basic moves that you'd see on the Broadway stage. No experience needed to participate! After a quick warm-up, students will learn choreography to a variety of songs then end with a cool-down. This class will ensure key steps will be their knowledge and can be applied to any song. ​
Voice- Projection & Diction
Feb. 15

Feel as though you struggle with letting your voice be heard? Do you struggle with pronunciation and diction while singing? Students will learn classical and musical theater songs and various warms up to improve projection. Students will need to bring water.
Dance- Musical Theater 2
Feb. 22
Dylan Stevenson & Rocky Turnage
Class time will be packed with fun and energetic dancing, with choreography to songs from multiple fan favorite shows, like Descendants, Bring It On: The Musical, and more! Prepare to move, groove, and jam out!
Acting

 Learn fun acting games and exercises while developing dramatic methods onstage and off. Instructors will teach lessons on projection, tone, staying in character, scene work, and more! Sign your kids up today to learn skills to became the best actors they can be. 
Dance- Tap

Vera Brown
This class is a great way to get introduced to tap dancing! This class will focus mainly on learning some of the most fundamental tap steps. We will learn the following steps: shuffle, flap, chug, spank, ball change, step heel, the single buffalo, and the traveling single buffalo. We will take these steps and put them together to learn a short bit of choreography and then move on to learning one of the most coveted and recognized tap dances. The Shim Sham! We will then implement this dance and use it on different songs from fun musicals and popular songs! ​
Monologue Workshop

This monologue workshop is designed to help students who are interested in learning more about performing monologues, understanding a monologue’s purpose, and monologue selection. We will discuss the differences between comedic and dramatic monologues and when to use them. We will also walk through a monologue line by line to teach students how to portray emotions effectively. Students may bring 1-2 minute monologues to work and and perform at the end of class if they would like. If not, we will have monologues available. Our goal for this class is to leave students more comfortable with performing all types of monologues.

This dance class will walk students through the basics of jazz dance. Starting with a warm-up, two dances will be learned to both a pop song and musical theater. The class will end with a cool-down. Fundamental aspects will be taught so moves can be applied to any song of choice.
Stage Makeup

Stage Makeup will include immersive activities that are not only fun, but educational. We will include hands on participation and group activities that dive into the process of professional stage makeup. This is a great class for children who are interested in the crew aspects of theater and want to gather more experience before putting it into practice!

This class will include the background to the art of hip-hop and students will learn two routines! This class is aimed towards kids of all ranges of ability, and is a great opportunity especially for those who are new to dance.

We will cover topics that range all the way from overall vocal health to singing healthily. This class is prefect for anyone who is passionate about music and wants to sing healthily on a long term basis. Students will leave this class with a better understanding of how to keep yourself and your voice healthy for long term musical magic! ​
Audition Prep

 Students will learn songs, dances, and monologues from your favorite shows such as: Hairspray, Annie, Newsies, and the Wizard of Oz. Instructors will teach audition skills like being confident, building your resume, picking audition pieces, projecting, and so much more! 3 songs and 3 audition options will be provided and there will be a Q&A session at the end.
